Meet Travis Evans
Travis Evans got his start in Commercial Fishing duringWorld War II when the public and troops needed fresh fish. Today Travis owns the fishing vessels Lucy L. and Gardena. He has fished crab pots, longline, trawler, troller and gillnet, just about every type of gear there is. When asked the question “What do you like best about fishing?”, Travis answered, “I like the way of life fishing affords, the many true friends and long terms relationships.”
Travis and his wife Katherine have been married 65 years and raised 8 children, two of their sons followed Travis into fishing. An unwavering faith in the Lord has sustained the Evans Family for many years. Travis shares his faith with others by writing stories and poems about the Lord and fishing.
