Meet Mark Tognazzini

Mark Tognazzini is a commercial fisherman who also helps run a family restaurant and fish market in Morro Bay California. When not on the Pacific you can find him at Tognazzini’s Dockside Restaurant & Fish Market located on the Embarcadero. Mark got his start in fishing at 16 as a dishwasher in Morro Bay and was soon transferred to the restaurant’s fish market. This particular operation also included a sport fishing landing and Mark was soon “dead heading” on his days off.

The ocean seem to fit him, and crewing on the party boats eventually led him to his becoming a United States Coast Licensed Master. After several years at the helm of local party boats he had the Bonnie Marietta built. Mark’s career has included many different fisheries as well as extensive research support services. Today he concentrates on salmon, albacore, and black cod. In addition he and his wife Bonnie have built a successful direct marketing consumer base not equaled anywhere in California. Mark and Bonnie have been married 29 years and have raised two children, Marc and Leah. Marc’s thesis is all that stands between himself and a Masters Degree in Marine Science. Leah helped build and run the family restaurant and is now living in the Pacific Northwest.

Directions: Heat all ingredients together in a sauce pan just until the butter is melted. Large uncut fillets cam be marinated for several hours.
